My Favortie Money Saving Apps
1. Honey
Honey is a free app and browser extension that scans the internet for promo codes to help you save money while shopping online. Honey also tracks the price history and price changes of products you’re interested in buying, making it easy to know if you’re getting a good deal. Another awesome feature of Honey is the Droplist. If you choose to add an item to your Droplist, Honey will notify you when the price goes down that way you never pay full price. I downloaded Honey in 2021 and have saved more than $150 on my online purchases. Honey truly works wonders. And it’s always free. Once, when online clothes shopping, Honey found a promo code that got me 50% off my entire purchase. Lowering my total from around $130 to $60. If you love online shopping, or just find yourself on Amazon often, download Honey. You won’t regret it!
2. Acorns
The Acorns app makes investing simple and easy. Acorns is an easy way to start investing, and it takes little to no effort. All you need to do is choose which stocks you want to invest in. After that, Acorns rounds up every purchase you make to the nearest dollar and invests it into the stocks of your choice. For investing novices, like me, Acorns makes it super easy to start your investing journey. If you’re having trouble, Acorns will even suggest certain stocks that can work for you. If you’re ready to start making your money work for you, you must download the Acorns app.
3. Poshmark
You’ve probably heard of Poshmark. Poshmark is an e-commerce marketplace where you can buy and sell your used and new clothing items, home décor, and much more. I have purchased several clothing pieces off Poshmark, from lovely “Poshers,” and got great deals for next-to-new items. From dresses to bedding to designer bags, on Poshmark you can get your new favorite piece for a fraction of the price. You can also sell your items that you no longer want to make some extra money.
4. OnMyWay
The last of my favorite money savings apps is OnMyWay. OnMyWay doesn’t necessarily save you money, but it can make you money to spend that’s not your own. So, technically, you are saving. OnMyWay is an app that tracks how far you drive while not on your phone. These days, texting and driving is a big issue on the roadways, causing tons of potentially fatal crashes. Not only does this app promote good driving habits, but the farther you drive without using your phone, the more money you make. Yes, the OnMyWay app pays you money for every mile you choose not to drive distracted. For each mile, you get a couple of cents, but as you keep practicing safe driving it can add up to enough to claim a Visa gift card or one of the many other reward options. These reward options include gift cards of all types (Visa, restaurants, gas, spas, etc.), select products and appliances, and even vacation vouchers. You can also invite friends to join the OnMyWay app and earn more! Practice safe driving and earn some extra dough while doing it, sounds like a win, win to me!
